The talk will draw on information from the latest COP23 talks in Bonn, the emergence of finance disclosure requirements and the benefits of exploring adaptation governance at the local level.
Donovan is a climate change adaptation specialist and founder of Climate Planning. Donovan has reviewed the adaptation governance of over 200 Australian Councils, including all Tasmanian municipalities. He has undertaken adaptation projects with insurers, all levels of government, UN agencies and international agencies and has also worked with a range of private sector groups. Donovan currently exploring mobilisation of climate change finance for integrated wave energy and coastal resilience. He is also exploring the application of blockchain technology for adaptation decision-making.
